Nordic Walking

If you want to get a good workout, you can also take part in the Karos Nordic Walking adventure tour which is also a great sporting experience and with the use of walking poles you can reduce the strain on your joints by 30 percent. You can rent Nordic Walking poles at the Tourinform office in Zalakaros.

Forest Railway

The programmes in Zalakaros make your summer complete with fantastic events and activities, but don’t miss one of the area’s true highlights: the Csömödér forest railway between Lenti and Kistolmács.

This railway line connects cycling and hiking trails in the area. It’s worth hopping on the train for a section, as it passes through the depths of the forest and lucky ones might spot wild boars, deer or other wildlife. The train runs scheduled according to the timetable/a> from May to September, with a genuine nostalgia train every second Saturday.

Kányavár Canoe Trip
